M/M primarily, open to M/F with prior CR. I ship him with Getou, the most, but Yuuji/Sukuna and Junpei are obviously great choices too. Anyone else or crosscanon, we can see where CR goes and let things play out based on that. Mahito has a difficult personality that might push "good" characters away, so it won't hurt to plan, either.

҂ GENERAL ҂
Being a cursed spirit, Mahito is invisible to ordinary humans (although not intangible), incapable of being hurt by attacks that lack spiritual or magical power, and able to use cursed energy to various effects in and out of combat. He's classed as a special grade, and for good reason.
He has the ability to see the souls of others, giving him insight into their emotional states and letting him gauge their remaining strength. By using his cursed technique, Idle Transfiguration, he can even reshape the soul of anyone he makes contact with. If the soul is transformed, so too is the body surrounding it, and so in most cases a single touch is all it takes for him to kill someone instantly.
҂ IDLE TRANSFIGURATION ҂
While taking advantage of not being seen, he most often uses this power unprovoked to reduce normal humans to the smallest form he can without killing them, to stockpile and carry with him for later use. He can then choose at any time to either transform them into monsters that obey his commands, or expand their bodies past any functional form to use as weapons. Combining multiple bodies into one as he does so allows an even larger range. In either case, the humans die shortly after-- making them single-use, but also more effective against opponents with too much compassion.
Reducing the size of bodies is difficult, though, or so he claims. When faced with someone who can see him, who he needs to be more careful around, he uses the technique differently, aiming for a more direct kill. Depending on how well the opponent can protect their own soul, his touch can range from scarring, to fatal injuries, to even causing the target to explode on contact.
Using the technique on himself, instead, even more possibilities open up. He can transfigure his own body at will with no lasting damage-- turning his limbs into various weapons, taking on animal features such as wings, and even negating the visible effects of any injury he's sustained. As if all of that weren't enough, he's also capable of splitting his body apart, into either multiple pieces or an identical copy, retaining both his consciousness and ability to transform further. Thankfully in either case, only the main body remains capable of transfiguring others.
It may be worth noting he can "heal" anyone, not just himself. Except in rare cases such as a contract, however, it's unlikely he'd be willing to.

Unusual for a curse, Mahito was taught how to create "curtains", large spherical barriers that sorcerers use to alter perception and prevent others from passing through. Normally intended to draw cursed spirits out of hiding, they appear as nightfall from the inside. To those without any magical or supernatural abilities, the outer walls are invisible, and nothing that happens inside can be perceived as out of the ordinary. To those with either, the curtain appears as a fully opaque black dome.
As curses are already invisible to non-sorcerers, and tend to have different barriers of their own, curtains are redundant to them-- thus Mahito will generally only form one as bait to draw in those who can see it.
A far stronger form of barrier, what he is likely to use in combat is his Domain Expansion. At the cost of draining a large amount of cursed energy and temporarily disabling his techniques after, Mahito can create a space that traps his opponents inside and guarantees constant contact with their soul. As his take on this ability focuses heavily on preventing escape, it can be easily broken from outside.

Go ahead. His own idea of flirting might be closer to killing someone while making the person he likes watch, though. He lacks the same interest in relationships as humans have, so if he does respond in a sensible way, it's probably not sincere.

He'll allow it, but for various reasons, it's not likely to be a pleasant experience.
҂ ROMANCE ҂
It won't be returned in any traditional sense, but that doesn't make it off limits. He'll happily fake affection if he's bored or can see any benefit to the relationship. He just won't grow emotionally attached. As it's his nature to enjoy violence, he'll have more fun with those he can fight than those who care about him.

If anyone's reckless enough to let him touch them that much...
I'm fine with this! Just note Mahito does refer to sex as a human behaviour, not holding any particular interest in the act, himself. He won't ever be the one seeking a partner out, but depending on who brings it up, he may see it as something fun to play and pass the time, or as a more binding step in manipulation, and agree easily enough. To overcomplicate things, there's also nothing down there unless he decides to do something about it with his cursed technique. Want his anatomy to be male? Female? Some kind of eldritch horror? He'll read the situation and adapt.
҂ FIGHTING ҂
Absolutely. He lives for this. But unless your character has a way to protect their soul or it's a powerloss setting where he can be evenly matched, please PM me first. Mahito is extremely overpowered, even for his canon. I'd prefer any serious combat is done with some amount of OOC planning to keep things from becoming one-sided. Of course, if conflict comes up too quickly to plan around, he can always just toy with his opponents, refusing to take them seriously. That'll be the default.
҂ MINOR INJURIES ҂
Totally okay. He isn't too bothered by pain, if his response to having his arm broken is anything to go by. As long as he's able to control the shape of his soul, all bodily damage can be reversed, so have at it.
҂ MAJOR INJURIES ҂
Also okay, but let me know if it's happening. Direct damage to his soul can surprise or even scare him, and greatly change his opinion of others, so I don't want to write it off by mistake. As long as he can recover, my only hard no is eye damage. Otherwise, I'd just like to avoid anything too extreme like loss of limbs or organs in a setting where he can't regrow them.

Absolutely okay. He may be difficult, depending on the method, as he's usually the one manipulating others and likely to recognize the signs, but treating him like a child will likely work in the short term, as can forming a contract with careful enough wording. Full on mind control is fine too, if we can plot it out first. If he catches on before the attempt starts, however, he will try to kill whoever's targeting him.

ICly, it's probably safe to say anything goes. Mahito has no particular interests in sex, tending more towards violence and manipulation, but he does enjoy learning new things. While he might mock others for interests that sound too gentle, his only deciding factor for what he'll agree to is whether he feels like cooperating.

Mahito can be a lot to deal with, not just as one of the main antagonists of his series, but also as a creature that thrives off fear and hatred, and has been taught to enjoy deceiving and hurting others above all else. That might lead in to some dark or heavy situations even with positive CR.
To start, he thoroughly hates humans, and in the absolute best case scenario sees them only as toys-- something to study, experiment with, play with, and then throw away or destroy when they've lost their use. There's always going to be a risk of violence or manipulation, no matter how "close" a relation he might have lied his way into. Non-human characters have it easier as he holds no ill will towards them, but then he's more likely to share his honest thoughts in casual conversation.
On top of all that, adult settings and the potential for shipping add in a host of new problems, as he is technically still a child-- just not of a species that holds any concept of an age of consent or sexual maturity. This puts him on par with adult humans, in that respect, but characters that spend enough time with him will likely notice he does act younger than he looks, which might make anything more than a platonic relationship uncomfortable for those with stronger morals.
By default: Mahito may act childish or overly cruel depending on how CR develops, but I'll hold off on letting him gain any insight from your character's soul, and his violent tendencies will be limited mostly to threats unless discussed.
If you want him to play up or lay off the manipulation, harassment, and violence, let me know! If you'd like to stick exclusively to gen threads due to his childish attitude, this is where to tell me, too! And of course it's perfectly fine if you want him to just leave your character alone, completely!
