[There's a pause after that. Maybe letting the rejection set in. But shortly,]

Hey, I know of at least one person who takes care of himself too well to ever die!

[ But wait, could it really be that easy? Yuuji is skeptical, but he doesn't plan on communicating that. ]

If you're capable of entering my house without breaking the door, I'll wait there.

Do you want me to congratulate you for branching out from your own miserable kind? Don't pretend you're capable of that much compassion.

All humans die. I thought you knew that by now. After all, the ones closest to you tend to die the soonest.


Once it's sent, he won't respond again. His signature still can't be traced. But he is headed over, partly due to curiosity, and partly to excitement. With everything going on, how can he really be expected to refuse what should be a chance to let loose and fight something more than the small fry gems that keep wasting his time?

When Mahito arrives, he does follow that request not to break the door. It's more to stay one step ahead and negate any attempt at an ambush, really, but what need is there in saying it?

Staying back, the curse simply shouts instead:

"If you're so desperate, get out here and meet me, Itadori!"

Yuuji doesn't respond to the text, anyway. It was enough to make him regret sending one in the first place, to think twice about this entire plan. But considering that Mahito does show up, it's too late for second thoughts now. He hears him shout from outside and briefly considers going back on what he said, not going out there. But the point of this is taking care of his blood hunger and it suddenly reminds him of its presence, sharply enough that he can't ignore it. Besides, Mahito probably would pursue at this point, if he was ignored.

He can't help but be annoyed when he goes out there, though. It's with a flash of the eyes that he defends himself as he opens the door, greeting with a retort. "I'd never be desperate for you."

But maybe that looks untrue, considering he was the one who started this. There's a reddish glow to his hands, one that he himself has been mostly tolerating as 'more of this place's weird stuff'.
